running 10" wheels?

i was wondering if any of you had or have seen anyone run 10" wheels on their bike engined mini? im trying to to get the miglia racer look.

Have you a Zcars kit or is it a self build? If it's a ZCars kit, the rears will be a problem, they are setup for 13", I did try a 12" but not a chance, so unless you get Chris to do some probably quite major mods brakes, then as standard it won't

my mate runs 10's on his mini but his is fwd R1 kit, his latest car will be on 12's or 13's tho for the higher speeds

ive got no pics with me but its the yellow mini from the ultimate mini DVD if thats any help. Speed wise 120mph plus he has had, tis silly quick

I spoke to z cars about this at the autosport show..

You can run 10s but you have to have the rear discs on the driveshafts, they have done it before I belive.

Yes, they did it to lee olivers original R1 Mini, you could probably use motorbike discs and calipers aswell inboard.

i personally prefer the handling of a mini on 10's, but iv been told the reason the majority of people with bike engined minis run it on the 13s is so the brakin potential is somwher near its accelerating potential

Running the brakes inboard will obviously help the back brakes, but it's the front brakes that are going to stop you, so I imagine thats the biggest problem with running 10s - getting the front brakes up to scratch.
