Ok whats Road Rally
Take your favourite road for the Mini road Rally would probably use it after midnight with a strict time ie you have to do a 6 mile section in 12 mins including plotting the route because you don't know where you're going till you get to the section start. You have to stick to all 30-40 &50 limits in built up area's you have to STOP at all give ways. Most of the road sections are to get you to competitves wich are either very narrow white roads or private roads farm tracks old airfields etc. Rally's are between 120 & 190 miles long. Start around midnight finish 6am + The Mini can be competitive last Rally out a Historic 1275 won outright beat at least 3 Scooby's BMW 325i etc etc I wasn't driving had a poo night myself. It 's a real Blast and relatively cheap. If you want I'll dig out some photo's not all Mini but you'll get the idea. There is usually a prof photg on the rally too.

That sounds superb.... gonna have to have a go at that.... is thre some sort of association... or is it a word of mouth thing...

I assume it must be legal, or you wouldn't stick to the 30/40/50 mph limit !! :cheese:

Completley legal, you have to have an MSA licence about £30 a year competition insurance bought for the event on the night bout £25. Plod knows about it in advance. Cars are scrutineered b4 the off general safety check and RTA compliance. Best way in is to find your local Motor Club and ask they will help believe me, most of them are total nutters and will have owned and competed in Mini's. JG you in the Rugby area they have a very active club couple of members of our club Coalville are members there as well. Check this gallery for Poto's there is one of me in there somewhere
