Hi just a quick one is it easy to set up the clearence of the float lever as shown in the Haynes Manual because it mentions an early type and later type how do you know which one you have? as the methods are different mine is a HS4 on a 1986 998 mayfair many thanks :cry: :cry: :cry:

How easy it is depends on which one you have. The only way to tell which is in your carb is to pull it apart and look. It isn't hard to get to on the HS carbs, just unscrew the lid and take a look (give the exhaust time to cool before you spill fuel over it!)
