how about a renault kango ?

hello..

my mother is in the same kinda situation, she has a electric wheel chair that she spins about in,and a kango,
she has a crane type thing that winches the chair into the boot, she can even do it by herself. she couldnt live without it.
just 1 thing tho.... she is only 5foot tall and finds it hard to reach the boot lid so i would recomend the door type boot to make it a bit easier

and it is automatic..... not bad to drive

I work in the disability trade and i would say if your looking to carry a wheelchair look at the vauxhall zafira is has ample boot space for wheelchairs and scooters, and it dosnt look like a van.

Hope this helps, any other questions give 01522 576600#

Cheers Adam

Apart from the thread being a year old... (haha) Where did crazy-cutie ever mention her mum used a wheelchair?!!

Why do people naturally assume you must be in a wheelchair to be classed as disabled......???

I know this is a year old but Im going to add my bit too....

My grandma has a disability she isnt in a wheelchair but cant walk very well, isnt very mobile. We cant take her out any more because its physically impossible with her condition at this stage, but we take her out of her care home every week, and back again in the eveining. My grandad has a ford focus (not the new one) he sometimes manages in that car, but mum has a Citreon Xara Picasso ( I know not the coolest thing) was a good car while she was childminding, and now its useful to help with grandma.

Hope that helps (even if it is a year on  )
