roll bar lagging for sva , just fit plenty! :(



heres a link to sva manual, (alot of it refers to ambulances etc , just refer to the bits for standard/amatuer built vehicle)

Already got the sva manual and everytime I read it to check something it makes less and less sense. :crazy: .

yeah i know what you mean theirs so much in the manual- but very little to extract for an amateur build, so you spend ages reading just to find out one thing :(

oh yeah
as regards bolts , they like to see a minimum of 8.8 strength class (or imperial eqivalent) on suspension and braking components, as the roll bar is actually a subframe im leaving the z cars supplied bolts in and fitting nut covers

I'm just gonna hide them under the carpet so they can't see them :( .

It's gonna take a year to build the car to sva standard and then another year to put it back to how Andy wants it :crazy: .

Lol, not wanting to suggest anyone would try and cheat through an SVA, nor do I condone it, but how would they know what strength the bolts are?

They are marked on top of head-3 bars= grade 5 & 5 bars = grade 8 RichM

They always look under the carpet :( First part of the test.

Pete its a standard sva, Just make sure every thing works and bung it in (on a trailer) in case they make you walk home.
Its only £30 retest fee :crazy:
