ahh update time....

well the stage 1 kit was fitted and the needle needed filing down.. thats all done n sorted and now wonce shes up to temp she flies like a lil demon!!

i have finally stripped out the interior! all the carpets/sound deadening/rear seats have gone... all thats left now is an off white interior

any one have any ideas how to make it look nice in there without much cost!!

could i just t cut the whole inside, will this sort out the scumy rusty lookin bits? or will i have to sand the rusty bits down to the metal work, treat them and respray it?

i have bought some new bits for her:

a crome rocker cover from ebay £12 bargain!!
12" Minilites (needs tyres) £72 another baragin!
and a rev counter £30

does anyone have a 2" pod for sale? would be real handy!!

i still have my crx seats and i think im gunna put them in sooner rather than later!

once i have some batterys for my camera ill post up some more pics!!

Depends how 'functional' you want it... as you say you've stripped the interioir... back to the metal/paint/primer... I'd be sorley tempted to get a large can of white Smoothrite and paint the entire interior...

First of all remove any loose rust paint dust, C**p etc... If there are holes the they will need to be patched. then slap it on...

Ok... I know some are going to go ARGh Smoothrite, but it does slow down the onset of rust and with a bare interior, you're gonna need as much protection as possible from that !

hey, funny u should mention Smootherite/Harmmerite!

when i was a wee boi, my dad was well into his land rovers, he had one that he bought as a pick up, and converted it into what could have been a 12 seater (i think) all of his interior was hand painted, with hammerite! not such a nice colour, sorta pepermint blue (vauxhall colour, v light blue) was mingin but a white, or even a gloss black (easy to keep looking fresh, chips etc, just patch em up)

i dont belive there are any holes, there are 2 plates on the floor when its had holes and they have been fixed up. there are little un-tidy bits of rust where water has collected.

i have only taken the interior out, ie rear seats & all carpets & sound deadening!

ill let u know what happens, i think paintin the interior needs to be done!

That car looks really great!! Can't help but smile and love the little rusty bits all around, really gives the car a cool look i think (and no I'm not joking :])

The interior, you could just get some fabric or even carpet and cover it with that. Not too heavy and will give it a nice look! :]
