Bought this car off a farmer, who has had it dry stored since 1978.
the first set of pictures show the amount of dust it has gathered in 29 years.
But its all there and very solid.
http://shabba.pensys.co.uk/hornet/
and a few pics of it once its had a little clean.

The plan is to fully restore it to original condition. Except for the engine, in which we are going to swap for a 1300 lump
it needs new a-panels, and a rear valance... if anybody has got a mini van rear valance they want to sell give me a pm.
then gonna do a front disc conversion, new sub-frames, professional respray
should be quite nice.

You got a bargian there mate, both Elf's and Hornets are very rare now. They are absolutley fantastic cars, something different to your normal mini (I've even heard off one or two people that they handle better due to the bit more weight over the back end)
Just thank yourself you dont have to fit a new front panel, the minimachine ones are rubbish and very expensive so im having to make my own from the good bits of my old one along with a normal mini front panel.
If you want a chat about them or anything give me a pm.
Be prepared for lots and lots of comments and compliments when it's finished

Sorry for the distinct lack of any updates on this, my plate has been very full with house-move, garage build and holiday etc, but back in action now here are some more pics.
Its all preped for respray now, well kindof. Ive paid for it to be rust coated in special primer, then flatted back down round blemishes, then re-primered then sprayed red with a silver roof (roof same colour as re-conditioned wheels)
thanks for all your above kind comments, I will keep you posted!
