hey, weve just had to do this, drill the centre of the bolt and tap it out to 1/8 npt, we got our hose made up at pirtek, they'll make up any combination you want. Hope this helps

Ady

1/8 ntp are quite rare. I managed to find an engineering works with one. You could use a 1/8 bspt instead and you can have your pipe made to suit. When you drill the hole you will only have 4mm wall depth. So insert the tap bit by bit and keep checking to see if the pipe fits nice and tight. You only get one chance.

Why dont you get an NPT to whatever thread you engine has adapter? It is much safer and easier???? Demon Tweeks do sell them or any good motorsport shop to be honest?

Cheers

The r1 unlike the hayabusa does not have any threaded holes into oil gallery's. Apart from an oil check hole m4 thread in the cylinder head. So it is easier to drill and tap the bolt on the oil/water cooler.

Forgot to add. You will also need a 90 degree elbow with male/male ends. Otherwise you will melt the pipe on the exhaust.
£12.00 for the pipe, £2.00 for the elbow at my local hydrolic shop

just finished mine oil pressure and temperature. I had to make the sandwich plate as I needed BSP threads but you can buy a 1/8 NPT M20 sandwich plate for less than 20 quid on ebay. Everything else I bought from thinkautomotive.co.uk
