Hi have fitted Gaz shocks to my 1993 Italian Job but the rear drivers side nut has come loose, I have tried to tighten it again but can't find any way to stop the top of the damper spinning. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Stevn

I assume you're describing the "top" mount. Most shocks I've seen have two nuts that "jam" into each other to prevent them from backing off. These thread onto the top of the shock's rod. The top of the rod usually has a small wrench flat machined on it. Look carefully at the top of the shock rod and see if you' can't see small flats there and then look for a wrench that fits. Hold the rod with the small wrench and turn the nut(s) with the big wrench.

Yeah, the top of the threaded rod should be flat. Use a small spanner or an adjustable as DK says.
