how strong will it be if u weld from on top and underneath then grind the top welds flat?

will have no carpets in my car so dont want ugly welds showing !

that should be fine, thats how mine are, aslong as its done underneath to keep mot man happy.

HI,

I have a 1992 Carb mini sprite that needs a new front RH floor, is there anywhere that I can find a cheep panel, all the panels i seem to be finding are the 3 grove panel and not the 4, as im on a budget I have been thinking about just using a 3 grove panel but not sure if this would cause any issues with the rebuild. I have just come back from living in oz to find my bro in law moved my mini from dry storage to out in the open meaning the dreaded rot has gotten to it, so im having to replace the full front and now the floor. If anyone can give me some information on the floor and also on how to replace the front end I would be grateful.

I am able to weld and have a spot welder but the manuals I have are as much use as a choclate spanner when it comes to restoring and replacing panels.

I would like to get my mini back on the road as it's great for a fun filled drive.

Cheers for any help

Andy
