my wheels stick out 3".the arces fully cover the wheels and the wheels fully fill the arch. in other words, they are a good match.

I phoned Huddersfield spares and ask them to send me a picture of their gp7s and gp6s,

gp7s look exactly the same as physcos, so no need to post piccy.

But... liking the look of the gp6s:

A bit less wide, and also use the same holes as the std arches!

think there the ones that are on my mayfair project look at my topic and see what you think, although im thinking of replaceing them with the new sportspack ones ive got in the garage but not sure as sportspack arches seem a bit common these days.

Just rang Huddersfield spares, the gp6 arches are 3.5" wide, same as the gp7.

Looks like gp5s or the wide wood and picket arches that mini spares do are my only options.

...and I dont like the look of the wood and picketts

So gp5s from Mini Spares is my answer

Fiberglass is finished in black gelcoat and is held on by screws recessed into the flare.

so how big are group 7 arches then  i dont think it was actually resolved

do companies just make their own sizes up and call them group 5's or 7's randomly

The arch spat only has to cover the tread. The shoulder and sidewall of the tyre should stick out from the bodywork slightly. I know it's a personnal taste thing, I just happen to like them the way they were intended and I thought I'd point this out in case people thought they were required to cover the whole wheel.
