i believe z-cars do make a front subby designed for the A-series, with all that fancy *cant remember what its called* suspension set up.

Are you thinking of 'dijon suspension'?

In board shocks?! Coil overs? Un-equal length double wishbone?

Can't find the pic of the one Z Cars had at Bingley. I remember the engine looking a state though! :D

I imagine its the same as a 'standard' Z Cars front subby, something like £800 or £1000.

is the subframe strong enough (on its mountings) even though it doesnt have any 'brace bars' like the standard subframe? (i mean the ones you add on).

Considering I have run my car for nearly 3 years without any brace bars I'd say it'll be fine....

on a normal standard subby?

if its fine after 3 years then cool. make me wonder why the need for brace bars was there in the first place. MOT reasons?

Yep standard subframe.

Never failed an MOT so I assume its fine.

I did throw a few extra fixings through the bulkhead behind the exhaust tho.
