Yeah that's the one with the write up that didn't actually answer any questions!

Neither of our cars were running right that day either, my knock sensor was broken and his vtec wasn't working! :withstupid:

Oh yeah lol they did. They also referred to vtec as "zetec" at one point too.. lol, I get they feeling they were in a rush to get it to the press!

yeah! I remember that too now! Bloomin journalists! :withstupid:

Slightly more on topic. Am thinking of wandering down the C20XE route myself (for a mini roadster). Was supposed to be going to get an engine and box last weekend but the seller got rid of it before I could get to it. Is there anything in particular that is worth looking out for? I think this one has an F20 'box with it from memory. Is there a certain box that's best in terms of FD ratio etc.???

Cheers, Matt

that's looking frigging awesome, the only thing im not sure on is the exhaust. a nice upswept would look sweet but ur building it for yourself, it's what you like, and that's the most important thing. building a mini to your own spec, and then going out and giving it a good spanking when it's up and running >_<

I must say Joe your mini is definately one of my favourite, i have watched your videos from 16vminiclub many times and you've convinced me I want one too lol

I plan on buying another mini to do up and rebuild with the c20xe engine etc in what I wondered was, with the c20xe conversion, do you have to extend the front ? I have seen XEValvers build diary and he is using a standard front but I wondered did you go for the extended front after trying a standard one or just go straight for the extended one?

By the way congrats for getting featured in max power, bought it toda just to read the article. :P

u could always go for a clubman front end like me or extend or keep standard with a bonet bulge at the front like XEValvers.
