Hey,
Im going to go minisport in the easter holidays to see what the old beast is putting out on the rollers, but with a carb you can tune the carb, but i was woundering what they do to tune a SPi on the rollers, or is there nothing they can do cause there unable to re-map ecu.

Not sure about a tuning session for the SPi, Ive only ever had power runs. Id expect then to do a diagnostic check firtst, tune the idle air and stepper, but thats about it, even then, that depends on the condition of the sensors on the system.

to be honest if your injection system is in good working order then all thats realy required is a power run, the SPi tunes its self except for its initial set up.

Thats because I have kept the cat and fitted a mid section silencer as well. you can hardly hear it idle, its great.

I preffer the deep throaty burble when its quiet, a bit like those turbo cars that go woosh rather than roar :)

Well its more than 80bhp, but im not going to speculate on the actual figure. its usualy quite different to what you would think

Sorry Dave, I'm high jacking your thread.

I would like to anounce that on Minisports rollers I managed to squeeze bob on 100bhp at 6860rpm (the limiter) and 87lbft 4640rpm :lol:

Dave got a good result as far as im concerned, but i'll let him post up.

Yeah 67.5bhp and 68 lft-ft, staged 1 SPi, very proud.. just wait and to see my face in mini world haha
