Spent a few hours seeing if the Bini rear lights will fit -

Make hole


Make template


Mark out position (mainly governed by where the light would fit flush to the rear quarter)


Cut out new and weld up old


OK so the fit isn't perfect but this is a spare rear end I'm using for mock-up


Starting the frame that the light will sit in


Anything constructive appreciated!

Is there a good reason why nobody ever tries fitting these on opposite sides so at least the vertical edge of the light lines up with the boot lid???

That's weird, I just thought exacly the same thing!

Its because of the curve that determines where they go....

That said I might have a look at mounting them the opposite way round and upside down maybe !

I should get over the garage at some point this week and let you know!
