just looked at the MWS ad in minimag, it does look like it comes with the link pipe incorperated, if so then just order this, an away you go!! (probably best to check with them first)

if you don't want to touch your existing manifold, then you don't have to, basically the back section unbolts from the back of the cat, and the new back section bolts staight on, its the same on all cat-equipped cars.

removing the cat....some say the cat strangles the exhaust, and robs you of a few BHP, some say it doesn't, i know when i had my cooper sortpack de-catted, it felt more free flowing and sounded louder the without the cat... but the benefits are negiotable.....if you're gonna put a nice new free flowing exhaust, you may as well replace the cat, but you do have to put it back once a year for the mot.

AFAIK the injection cat robs about 1.5 bhp from the high end of the revs only, not throughout the power band. So it is unlikely that there will be much of a noticable difference unless you really need to be driving at 90 all the time. The carb cat however was very restrictive as was the level of tune required from the engine when fitting a carb cat.
It should be pointed out that driving any cat car without its cat fitted (even pre '92) is illegal on the highway even if you do refit it for MOTs, and they do now do roadside emittions checks and have emittions 'cameras'. Ditch it at your own risk.
