Well guess I should tell you a bit about my mini and plans. Unfortunately I have not got round to putting pictures up yet but will do in future so then I will be able to have a before and after.

At the moment the spec is:

1989 mini city E
Moonraker metallic blue (I think)
998cc - uprated head and twin SU's
5x12" gold minilite wheels (horrible soon to be changed)
4 Spotlamps
Flamebeater carbon fibre fire extinguisher
roughly 3" centre exit single big bore exhaust (loud as hell in a good way!!)
Mountney steering wheel
Alloy ball gear nob
metal door furniture
Walnut Dash with chrome guage rings
JVC chameleon head unit
Magnat 6x9's in parcel shelf
Pioneer fronts in heater slots
Twin Air horns
AP racing brakes (possibly standard not too sure)
Non Adjustable bullet mirros (completely useless)

Future plans will be:

Exterior

Respray in Black (any suggestions) already booked in so will be done soonish.
Zeemax style fibreglass bonnet (big Bulge one)
Bonnet pins
6x12" deep dish minilite wheels (silver thank god)
Sports pack arches
chrome grille
chrome exterior door handles
Adj bullet mirrors
chrome latch bezels
chrome door escutcheons
chrome rear numberplate light
Chrome roof arial
Chrome aston Fuel cap

Interior

Corbeau clubman 2000 bucket seats
Sagety Devices rear rollcage (without diagonal)
black carpet sets
black doorcards (have a bash at making these myself)
black headlining
checker plate the champagne holders in the rear
Home made boot board
New mats with metal heelpads
Rover tomcat rear seats (or something similar)

Ice

Sub and amp in boot

Suspension

hi los
Gmax shocks

Performance

1275 metro turbo engine (which my dad wants to get bored out as much as possible with uprated dump valve, turbo, crank etc...) (My mates mate already knows where there is an MG metro turbo sitting waiting)
Metro turbo 4 pot brakes
Twin DTM centre exit stainless steel full exhaust system made by Powerflow.

I think thats about it. The exterior comes first then the interior and finally the performance. right now the 1 litre is keeping me and my insurance happy.

Any questions or suggestions please speak. Oooh and if anyone could recomend a black please do.

Thanks

James

all seems good to me mate, the only thing i would say is bore the turbo engine to +.20 (1293) and +.40 (1310) at the most, running huge bores on turbo a series limits you performance because you can only run low amount of boost, you will get more power from a well set up 1293 with higher boost and interrcooler than 1380 with low boost,
not saying it cant be done but the power potential is better on a smaller bore size,
check out

this will give you so much info regarding the turbo conversion.
good luck with your project!
