Do you have an immobiliser?

Is the ecu grounded properly?

Did you swap the ecus over?

the car does not have a immobiliser and i took every thing for the engine including the whole of the wiring loom front of the car as well, the only thing i did not take was the accelerator pedal switch witch i dont have on a 94 spi and i thing that it is grounded properly as most over things are working
cheers Griff

The ecu and engine loom from the 92 are incompatable fith the 94 body loom, the ecu in your 94 is a MEMS 1.9 with one connector and the 92 is MEMS 1.6 and has two connectors.

I wouldnt use the ecu from the 92.

Id be putting all the 94 stuff back in, ECU and loom, you should then not have a problem.

You can if you have the patience, rewire the connectors on the 92 loom to fit a 94 car, but why when you have a 94 loom?

This topic is a little confusing, to clarify. You have fitted a 92 engine, loom and ECU into a 94 car???

You have changed the body loom , engine loom, engine ECU and engine to that you got from the 92 car, except the rear loom from the bulkhead to the rear of the car??

if you have not got the throttle pedal switch, id start there and fit one as its needed if you use the 92 ECU

Dont understand why you had to change the entire loom though, unless it was on fire?
