Right i got fed up with the horible exhust on my new (old) jet black and decided to put on an lcb, twinbox rc40 i had around. That all went ok and after a few hours it was all back together again. I went for a quick run up the road and on the way back noticed a trail up my drive, no doubt from the mini. Turns out the float chamber is overflowing and pumping fuel out over the hot manifold
I took all the float chamber appart and it was really clagged up with rust and the valve bit was quite worn, so i changed that and gave it a good clean, but when i put it back on it was no better.
I then changed the whole top bit of the float chamber including float and all the gubbins for another i knew worked and it still did it
Any ideas what else it could be? Fuel pump?
Cheers
Chris

check the rubber bits on pipe, replace clips with petrol clips if using them other clips, they go egg shaped and force a gap. Replace the gasket around top of float chamber and clean it out.
Thats the problems i have had in that area.

I checked all the pipes over and the gasket they are all sealing fine, its just coming out the over flow pipe. Ive just found another float chamber ive got that doesnt have the over flow pipe but id still rather know what the problem is.

Are you sure you have fitted the pipes back on the right way round.
