Right, I am planning on getting a set of four Halo Spotlamps sometimes soon, but I have a copule of plans up my sleeve on the wiring part,, its a bit complex though and I think it could be impossible.
Heres the plan:
Engine on:
When Headlamps Full Beam - Spotlamps Full beam
When Headlamps Dipped - Spotlamps turn to Halos...
Sidelights on (middle option for light switch on dash) - Spot lamps on Halos
simple so far eh?
Engine turned off, but ignition is on:
Side Lights on (middle option for light switch on dash) - Spots on Halos.
This is where It gets a bit more complex :rock2
Id like to wire the Spotlamps so they are in two groups Middle two and outside two.
Then for each group Id like an overide switch for on/off, each of the two switches for eahc group could be placed on my dash somewhere.
This would be cool as I think I could then just chosse to have the spotlmaps on/off at any time, these switches woudl fully ontrol each group of the spots.
I.E. If I switch the overide switch for the middle lamps off, wahtever i do they woudlt come on.
So anything that woudl noraly invole all four lamps being on would just involve the outisde two due to the kmiddle two being "killed"
Pleas esay if you dont understand anything here, I've tried my best to explain it.

Sounds possible to me.
Looks like you'd better get a load of wire, and plenty of relays, switches, and terminals.
Oh, and draw it out on paper before you do any wiring.

does not sound that difficult.
Basically it's two light circuits with a a couple of relays to flip the lights appropriately....

As guesswork says put the switches on the earth side of the relay so they don't carry current all the time the lights are on.

for the moment I think I will wire the lights in normaly, possibly adding the 2 switches at a later date

You just need to be sure that dipping the headlamps will extinguish the spotlamps and they can't be on while the headlamps are dipped (the halo's don't count obviously). Other than that this is all pretty simple, but it would be easier if you didn't want the halo's to turn off when the spotlamps come on. I doubt you'd be able to see the halo's past the spotlamp beams anyway.
Do you want the halos to be split into two groups as well as the spots?

If you want to use 1 set of spots as fogs you can still do it using 3 relays and 2 switches. I've worked a diagram on paper I'll see if I can draw it up on the pc for you.

You can't use spots as fogs, the beam pattern is wrong. Fogs point at the ground to shine under and reflect up through the fog. Spots are main beam lights and will just reflect straight back off the fog in front of you, so you just drive into a white out. A horrible scary thing!

Aware of that the diagram is for if he wants spot and fog and have no idea about Halo's as they have a habit of melting with 130 w lamps under constant use also aware 130w are illegal for Road use
