Hello,
Is it possible to remove the front subframe rubber cones without taking the car apart.

it is. you just need a cone removing tool which you can buy at most mini shops. you take out the tower bolts. then the tool goes through the hole.

then you compress the cone, take the trumpet knuckle joint out of the top arm, take the trumpet off the cone, turn the cone sideways and it should just drop out (once you've uncompressed it)

It is possable to remove the rubber doh nuts without a cone compressor , but you have to remove the top suspension arms, this is how i fitted my hi-los.

Yes it is possible that way, but its EXTREMELY difficult to get the top arm shaft to line up again with the knuckle in the arm and the trumpet in the cone, as you need to apply pressure to the cone to get the shaft lined up and through, which is tricky. It might have been easier when Woody did it as the Hi-Lo's are adjustable so you can make the trumpet 'shorter'. I'd use a compressor if you can get access to one, makes it so much easier!

ok ta. Would only be removing them to fit coil-overs so they wouldn't need to go back in
