Not been on this site before but someone on the 16vminiclub.com forum told me about it.
I thought I would introduce myself and show some pics of my beast.
I am mike, a 22 year old electronics engineer student at Leicester uni.
I have had the pickup since I was 16 when my dad did it up for me. During the last couple of years we have done a K series conversion on it! I dont do all the work but I do what I can, dad does the rest!
The engine is a 1.4L mpi beast out of a rover 25.
If your were at MITP this year you could have seen it on the 16V club stand. It was also featured in Retro Car mag a month ago.

However I now have 13 * 7" star mags on her now

I like the sound of your planned trip next september so I might have to get to know you all and come along, money allowing!

Thanks

Hi,
Thanks for all the praise
It does look nice, but as I am sure you all know, it is never done! There is always a few more bits to do. Ahh well we will get there as and when the money allows Im sure.

Nice pick up! I'm a newbie meself. I really like the mini pick ups, they're so cool looking. My girlfriend is a convert now too. I took her to the mini 45 show at Silverstone in August and she fell in love with the Mini Speed pick up that they had by their stall (she reckons it had loads of character, good girl).
You've made an interesting engine choice too, alot of people seem to go for a VTEC or Vauxhall 16V, good to see people opting for the Rover engine too!
