Choke panel thingy

Right, needed a new choke cable today, got one, fitted it. but doh, we cant get the left side nut / bracket thing on, so i have to hold the panel to pull the choke out.

any ideas on how to get into this easier, we gave up because it was cold and dark.

You need to drop the heater down/take it off.

(Real easy, just 2 screws and 2 bolts (if I remember correctly))

Then lay upside down on the seat and have a go like that.


Ive done it twice now as the thing kept falling off.

(Maybe put some locktight on as well so it dosnt wiggle lose)


It is tuff to do but better than using your left foot to hold the panel in whilst pulling on the choke :lol:

I gave up on mine and used superglue
