guys, its like you fix 1 prob, drive for half an hour and another 1 happens.

spent a while getting new engine upper arm bushes in to get rid of the knocking when i put my foot down. great job, driving smooth etc but a mile from home i think i heard a rumble over the horn side of the engine.then my belt squeels a bit. i get home and there seems to be water over my belt etc. my first thot was water pump (lovely) but after taking off the belt (splits everywhere) the cover of the alt seems to have oil over the inside.

so im confused.now it was getting dark, but after a good study of the water pump, i cant see a prob.and if its oil, where the hell is it coming from. do you think its worth while changing the water pump anyway?change the belt and hope its all ok? its all i can think off. all hoses are perfect.

one ting i notice is there seems to be oil sitting on top of the small breather box.this could be there a while (i hope).

anyone any ideas?
