The problem is solved by Rover by having differing injector durations for the same load (normally all the same) and changing the phasing and/or injection start pointt for the port in question.

But this only works for a certian output. At high rpm say 6000 rpm you end up with sooo little time (5 ms) that you need a huge injector (1000cc) to inject all the fuel required for one cylinder in one go! It simple doesnt work and you can control an injector that size to idle on a small engine....

I believe that twin carbs with its straighter inlet tract helps to get a more even suply of fuel at each cylinder ( a friend with split 45dcoe webbers explaned this to me ) that is one of the reasons i was thinking of going for 2 throtle bodies (possably made from SUs) this would mean 2 injectors .
is the megasquirt sequential ?if so it might be possable to fit 4 injectors , each one pointing directly at the cylinder it is suplying ?

a st8 inlet track will not solve anything... it will flow better and so be better power wise but it CANT stop charge robbing.

MS is not sequential.
