Yes P91MER its so true - currently we have a Corsa B SXi taken in p/x for a Corola, and my Spi Sprite is surprisingly quicker!
Yet the Max Power boys put on huge rims, loads of ice, and a heavy bodykit. Which sees them get anihilated by an old mini when my dad is driving!
Best one was my brother's 1983 Audi 80 Sport Homologation Special, they used to look gutted when it used to eat Fiestas for brekkie! That and the bloke with the Lexus SC430 - he looked like he was about to burst into tears.
I've been into minis for as long as I can remember, well it was hard to avoid, my Dad had a 1071cc Cooper S when he was 24, he's always been into them, my sister had 2 and my brother had 3. In fact my brother, who is trying to grow up since he has just turned 30, got more enthusiastic about my mini when we got it then me!
That and just cars in general, everythiong from Vanden Plas bodied 4.5 litre vintage Bentleys to Landies to E-Type Jaguars to Escort Cosworths to Mustangs to 350Z, and don't get me started on motorsport!

ha ha im on the max power forum, i only talk in the tuning and car trouble section as i get too stressed by all the other ideots! and 99% of the poeple on there want top with just bolt on a turbo for £100 or want to know the best filer and exhaust, they have no idea about engine tuning in the slightest! and most of the work odne on there cars they pay for, they dont do it themselfs! theres only around 5 guys that really know thier stuff.

changing the subject theres a guy on my course that has just put a 2 litre xe in his corsa! and has kept the rest of the car std apart from wide 15" alloys and a cage! now thats what i like to see, look forward to giving him a run in the mini when i get my new engine

when i was his age i wanted a mini, my advice would be to buy a mini as soon as you can and start playing with it, i bought one when i was 14 for £50 and just played with it to learnt how they worked....

Yeah, I did the same. I bought an old V-reg one for 100 quid and had a play. It is the best way to get into the mini scene.
