Hello again,
Below is a picture of where the back of my front subframe (early type) meets the floor, just below the front bulkhead. One bolt through the floor, one bolt on the bulkhead.
Should I have a rubber bush here and on the same position on the other side, as it bolts straight to the body at the moment?
Hope you can help,
Ali

Mk1 and Mk2 were definitely bolted right to the floor. When did they start using the isolator pads?

Is there any bush available for the early subframes or clubman? because I'm trying to cut down on the vibrations coming into the car.

Mk3 were still solid mounted. Rubber mounted subframes were part of the Mk4, in 1976. There's no rubber washers or anything available for this area.

Yup, quick way to tell from the top, if the subframe is held on with 2 large turrett bolts at the top ( one each side ) then it will have a subframe mount at the back, if it has 4 smaller bolts then the subframe will be bolted directly to the floorpan at the rear...
