What is the difference between a 1 plug ecu and a 2 plug ecu. ive just bought a new engine and noticed that the new engine has a 2 plug ecu as where mine only has 1 plug.

Thanks

Two plug ECUs are good for the bin

Anyone out there having trouble with a two plug jobbie, i would recomend upgrading it to a single plug un coded item. Its just a matter of swapping a few pins on the connectors, which is very simple, no wire cutting involved. The engines are the same if not a little aged by now :)

The VEMs works, the only thing i havent figured out yet is the knock detection and the purge valve strategy, no biggies and the engine will run without these. Andy500 runs his Vmax kit without the purge valve. Knock is a bonus realy.

All the software and config problems ironed out :) give us a bell or better still come round some time next week when i WILL be getting the engine in the car. Check the manchester minis forum for some piccies of the project

LOL, just need to get the engine finished and in the car STILL!!!!!, that fibreglass front end was a royal pain in the arse to fit and taking up too much time, took almost a week to fabricate the seat brackets, as well as suppliers selling sub standard parts that i hvae to send back, sooooooo many times!!!! everything just gets put back. Oh and working away when I need the time on the mini

Sorry, thread highjack.
