injection emissions MOT FAIL!!!!!!!!

I've just had the mot on the SP injection mini, Failed on CO2.
It was 0.9 and when hot ( fan cuts in ) 1.3 and it should be 0.3
Any help would be cool.
Just fitted new plugs, air filter etc.
Can't use the car as the mot is 2 weeks out of date.
I'm thinking it could be a water temp sensor?? But where the hell would it be.

I would suggest replacing the fuel if what is in the tank is of a decent age. Put a tank of Shell V Power in there, it usualy burns cleaner. Also give it a real good run on the motorway at reasonably high revs.
Depending on the age of the car, the problem could also maybe be a sluggish lambda sensor and or a poisoned cat converter.
Good idea would be to have a code readr fitted to diagnose any faults with the sensors and general system set up. Make sure they guy thats using the code reader knows what he is doing rather than just letting the code reader tell him if something is wrong or not.

Cheers ,It could be any number of things however with it being so close and not miles away from the limit it is going to be a little more difficult to diagnose.

The code reader does not fault find the engine, its the person using the code reader fault finds the engine. Too many people these days do the first. Make sure you get some one who does the latter.
