Basically there's just one step: hit them hard.

Sometimes with the late disc brake setup that you have it is possible to swap the studs in situ, but if the ones you are fitting are very much longer than original (if you can't get them in the gap between flange and disc basically) you will need to remove the driving flange from the car and the disc from the flange and swap the studs on the bench.

Screw a nut on the stud which fits the thread to protect if from damage and hit it hard with a hammer. They come out quite easily most of the time.

When fitting the new one make sure the spline is properly aligned and fit them as far as you can, they will seat fully the first time you put the wheel back on and tighten it BUT DO take the wheel off again straight away to make sure they have seated.

If you had Cooper S discs then it would be a little different as the stud is fitted to the disc not the flange which makes it really hard to fit very long studs.
