your master cylinders are on the wrong side of the car!!!!

Minis84.... best giggle I've had today... nice one..

Military84, I do hope you normally have an air filter stuck on the top of your carb, otherwise youre going to be sandpapering your bores, and tuning will be the least of your problems..

as for the cable, make sure there are no realy tight turns, not sure how much clearance there is on LHD models.

i'd get some WD40 down the inside of the cable, sounds as if there is a problem there. with the cable off, does the inner slide freely inside the outer. it might also be an idea to grease the inner cable!!

have you tried a different spring. My pedal was really stiff using a tighter wound spring, i changed it to a different one and its fine. Make sure the end of the cable is not frayed, as this will cause it to jam inside the outer sleeve and that makes pedal feel tight/hard to press.

My choke cable is frayed.... :/

Well I managed to solve the throttle cable today. I removed the cable and used a wire brush and file on the hole in the bulkhead to remove any rust or burrs that could be rubbing the cable. I lubbed the cable and lining. I reinstalled it using a slightly different routing and made sure the brass liner end seated properly in the bulkhead. All is well now. Only major things left as far as carb goes is to get the clear spark plug and tune the mixture.

I have been reading a lot on the intake and exhaust manifolds in my tuning book and the dramatic power differences they can make. Where is a good/reputable place to guy from?? I don't mind paying a little extra for the exchange rate and shipping from the UK.

Thanks for all the help.
