good reason for that.... they get pi55ed on by the GSXR1300. and not as reliable for everyday use as the Vtec.

lol we have a good donor car needs bit of welding.. doing that our self.. painting it our self.. well were getting it free we know people lol need an engine but thats it.. wer do it il show you when its done prove we can do it muhahaha lol

But you will always wonder what would have been had you gone for the 1300 or god forbid one of the best automobile engines in production "the Vtec"

There is no replacement for displacement.

I have an A-series 1380..... with a little laughing gas. it does me well.... and i have rear seats for my Kids.


Lukey, ask any of our Zcars boys what they have spent.

you don't want to spend this kind of money and not do a "proper job" you will always regret it.

.. but the hole point is not to have rear seats.. the ponit is when you have got to where your going you carnt hear a f**king thing your def.. your heads been shook like nothing before.. its just the thrill of have that R1 engine behind you killing you as you go along lol

couldn't hear for 3 days after coming back from riviera run.... 121mph on a "track" sat nav verified (with 3.44:1 diff, now have 2.76:1) very much fun to drive but also practical and i do't need to rev the nuts off it to pull away and can knock 40 bhp off the power by turning off the nos.

I drive fire engines and this comes close on adrenaline.

Still think R1.. im 16 dont have kids.. my dad will be doing the driving my mum will not come init lol (she dont like my mini she says its too loud and fast only a 1275 GT) we dont have to worry about back seats or anything

I had a Vtec - bored - been there done that !!! in the early days, a fairly poor subframe conversion and the welds gave up. I told myself if I did something like this again I would use a lighter engine with a higher rev range - Hence R1.

I have had almost every variation of an A series also - 998's 1071's 1275's 1380's and even a 1430 for a short while but that never made it into the car.

1300 would be a blast but no-one is doing a front conversion for them, and I dont really want a posh grass tracker from Z cars.

Once this one is done I may do another, and yes, if a suitable high quality kit like the promotive bundle comes along for the 1300 I'll give it some thought.

It'd go quite nicely with my R1 conversion and my Morspeed 16 valver.
