My mum cut this out of the paper for me,

only 18-21s though, "for young people" exlcuding 17 year olds to me is a bad idea, your first insurance premiumn is also likely to be your most epensive.

I also dont fancy waiting for bills at the end of the month, at least when you pay your insurance premium its out the way.

Cheers anywy Guessworks, hope someone finds it useful!

works out dearer for most.

£1 a mile or 20p thru day per mile. Imagine a mini run or a event far away from you, like £400 insurance for that one weeekend of travellling.

Yeah I quite often do 50-60 miles a day, at £1 a mile, I would pay more per day than I do now in a week!.
Also , that GPS thing sounds a bit dodgy, I dont think they would approve of me blasting down country roads approaching 100mph, lol.
I can see that if would work for some drivers though

nah, read it again.... the 1 pound a mile is when you travel between the hours of 11pm and 6am, as there figures show that this is when the most expensive accidents happen...

and 6p a mile at all other times.. which means, say you drive 1000 miles a month, the first 100 miles will be free...

if you don't driver between the hours of 11 and 6 ( bed time ) then the remaing 900 miles will cost you 54 quid...

54 x 12 + 199 = £847 annual premium..

Not bad from what I've been hearing of young peoples insurance premiums

speaking of insurance and that anyone any suggestions as to a cheap one? £1 a mile deal sounds a bit dodgey to me as i live in liverpool but pick up work all round the country but a lot of the time in london would be a bugger on my mileage, but at the moment i'm with 'quote me happy' as is my first year of driving paying £600 third party f&t a, 21 now and will have been driving over a year time next premium comes round looking for a cheap deal any suggestions?

its hard to say really it is just a matter of shopping round to find the best quote.

I was with Norich Union and they wanted £400 FC for a bog standard '89 mayfair auto.

We made all the mods to it ..... removeable front, stage 1, chrome etc and I get it for £170FC

So you do have to shop around
