Can anyone give me the name of a good website which describes (with photos) the different models of mini? I haven't got one yet, but I want to do my research, however, there are so many different makes and models of the original style model - I'm looking for an older mini - not one made in 2000 or anything!

basically there were several versions of the mini
Saloon (round-nose, most common mini)
Clubman
Estate / Woody / Traveller
Van
Pickup
Since you want a older mini, you will be looking at Austins and Morris Mini's.

The UNOFFICIAL Austin/Rover resource website
Try this site, gives some great info about Mini's, lots of the limited editions, offshoots, etc etc.
And info on loads of BL's other wonderful cars!!

Ahhh www.austin-rover.co.uk, I could spend hours on there - no wait I have.
Hope everyone voted in the best car BMC>Rover Group ever made, which was (unsurprisingly) the Mini. Was surprised that the Rover R8 series was in there, but then again they were massive when they launched them.
Oh there is also the Mini Moke if you want some (impractical) surfer cool B)
