Been on the look out for a Mini for a while now, as I will be 17 in less then 6 months. It had to be a Clubman / 1275GT as I'm not to keen on the roundnose looks..
Anyway, picked this up yesterday:
Spec:
- 1275 engine, LCB Manifold & RC40 exhaust. Mini spares inlet manifold, ported unleaded head, engine steady, HIF44 carb. Front discs.
-Body resprayed red (was originally brown!), Supalite wheels.
- Half leather interior, wallnut dash, mountney steeting wheel.
Also has a cool number plate, which is meant to be worth about £1500!.
Overall it is really tidy.
All for £670, how happy am I?

what a buy!!!! that looks absolutely incredible for the price mate. You've found a cracker there, whats the bodywork like?
Is the speedo a 110mph or a 90mph? If its 110 you could have a genuine 1275GT on your hands there, unless its been fitted in later. Are the discs 7.5" or 8.4"??
I like it!

Bodywork is really good! It has had some new wings, but there is hardly any rust.
The clocks are 120mph, which isn't standard. The brakes have been replaced with later 8.4" units.
There is a bit of confusion regarding what it is, but it has the later A+ engine. The log book says it is a 'Morris Mini 1000'

Nah, I'll be going through my own insurance. A 1275GT is only £1300 third party so it shouldn't be much of a problem.
Although going through my Parents will be (much) cheaper, I really want to build NCB.

looks like a pretty comprehenisve respray too, considering the windscreen pillars have been done, and the inside of the doors too.
I'm thinking it must have started life as a 998cc Clubman, and will have had a remote change gearbox too, unless its a younger Clubby shell with an older registration. Have a look underneath at where the rod change housing sits and see if the shape of the tunnel is different to rod change cars.
