Hi,
I thought I would put up some pictures of my 1979 Mini Pickup. It was in fairly reasonable condition (compared to some pickups!) when I bought it having been used by BP in a refinerary, so stored inside for most of its life.
I stripped down the shell and shotblasted it, deciding to get the majority of the bodywork done by a local garage.
They ended up replacing quite a few panels:
Front Panel/Grille
RH + LH Front Wings + Inner Wings + A-Panels
Front Floor Pans
Load Floor Skin
New RH Door + LH Door Skin
(Obviously before the work had been carried out!)
I am hoping for getting it finished for the summer, as theres not much left to put back on now.

Niiiiiiice. Damn, seeing the inside stripped and painted like that almost makes me want to take the rest of my interior out and do the same...... *sigh* decisions decisions.....
Looks like they've done a nice job overall, too.

that is stunning. wish mine looked like that!!
looks like you're not a million miles away from finishing it now then, just the mechanicals to put on, trim to do etc. The joy of having a shell like that is that now everything should just bolt on, will make it an absolute joy to put together.
Congratulations on having such a nice motor, have fun with it!!!

have you not been tempted with subtle mods, like 12G295 head on the 848/998, twin carbs, Cooper S 4.5" reverse rims, S discs, period bucket seats, centre binaccle with oil press/temp gauge? My pick-up is the same colour as yours underneath all its coats of other paint! I really like it, looks like its going to be a wicked motor!
