clutch shudder

When I release the clutch in any gear every thing vibrates badly what should I check also should the rod that conects the gear stick to the gearbox be fairly loose. Please help. :sad:

sounds like glazing or contamination! take the clutch out and have a look at the friction place and pressure plate you should be able to see little white bits in the friction plate or rainbow colours on the pressure plate. I had exactly the same problem with mine. As for rod play, there can often be alot. The best thing to do if you can is shim it out and make sure all the nuts are tight. :thumbsup:

its quite simple depending on how technically minded you are. all you have to do is unbold the slave cylinder, undo the clutch cover and then you have access to the clutch. Now do you have a verto or non verto type clutch?

if it is contaminated then you can engine buy a new clutch kit or it is posbile to get the pressure place acid dipped or skimmed at a mini or engineering shop. if the friction plate is contaminated though i would just change it

not sure the slave cylinder sits horizontally above the clutch
