Ade. That fibreglass repair needs to be heavily layered in mat and resin or it will crack in 5 minutes once on the road. Do it from behind the panel to minimise sanding and smoothing. Or is that what you've already done? Can't tell from the front.

Are you running it as injection or converting back to carb? If injection, what ECU are you gonna use? Just out of interest.

Hi Al

Yeah have layered it from behind and done quite a few layers. Have resined it aswell but have not yet got pictures of that.

I'm keeping it injection and will use the standard ecu with a power controller from TTS to allow them to custom map it to the new set-up.

Ade

Oh This picture of the inner wing that was loose should give you an idea of the layering up we've done I think its now stronger than the good side

The Shell is currently at Z-cars having the kit built to the car as being a minus the kit for a standard Mini won't fit.

It's more or less done so am hoping to get the car back in the next couple of weeks to be able to crack on with the job in hand.

I'm going to the show at Stafford to try and get all the normal bits I need so will be hoping to pick up some proper bargains. :cheese:

I'll try and keep this up-dated as I do things but next job I think will be cutting out the exhaust tunnel and cross box section and chequer plateing the floor.

So if anyone is easily bored and likes working on minis for food and beer give me a bell as I think I'm going to need all the help I can get :saywhat:

Ade

TTS Chip sounds interesting. Where did you get the mirrors from?

Smoothy bootlid from smudger (this is very nice work)

He made this really lightweight for me but moulded into the design a kevlar cross for strength
