I was wondering anybody would know if this software from eBay would be any good for the TPI?

Clicky

And what type of OBD cable I would need and any idea where I could get one?

Cheers

The Mini is not OBDI or OBDII, it was Rovers own interm version of OBD. The OBD connector is the same, but its wired differently.

You need something like the Sykes and Pickavant ACR4 with the Rover V2 or higher aplication pod, and the specific rover cable.

An ACR2 or ACR4 will work, but I believe you need the Sykes Rover Pod version 3 for TPi. The version 2 pod may work for Spi, but I am not sure. The current version is 4, but some people have indicated that they have trouble working with Minis with version 4.

There was an issue with some of the cables working better with Minis also, but hopefully that is sorted out now.

I stand corrected as this was posted on the SP forum:

So Rover Pod 1 will cover some SPi, possibly Mini. The Rover 2 Pod does not cover the Mini TPi using the MEMS2J ECU.

Sorry to add to the confusion

Cheers for the replies. At least I know what I'm looking for now.

Thanx
