hello going to bingley hall and im going to get some goodies for the mini! what size K&N air filter do i want for my 1989 998 mayfair standard carb!

Could do with a pic, but mainly used are HS4 carbs on 988cc engines unless its been changed.
HS4 - 1.5". Get a cone filter, they give a nice induction roar. My m8s dont like it, but i love the burble of exhaust and the whistle / roar in the cabin. Depends if u like to listen to the engine i suppose.
If your not getting a cone, u will just need the filter element for the original mini housing.
