Will a 3 clock cluster fit straight into my mini or does it need extra wiring?
What is the spade terminal and prong for on the rear of the tacho?
Cheers

What setup do u currently have?
All depends on how much wiring you want to do. but i heard it was alot of hard work to fit a 2 or 3 clock setup to my centre clock 1980 mini.

I have the wiring for a 2 clock setup, but would like to put a tacho in as well.

Should drop right in! There should be the two connectors you need behind the dash coming off the loom somewhere. One spade and one bullet I believe? One of them is definitely white with a black tracer and the other I don't remember the colour but they should be together...

Bingo. I remember them being there when doing a quick fix and wondered what they were for. But I'm sure there were 3 wires. I will try them next week when the interior rebuild begins in earnest. I bought a job lot off ebay with various brackets and 4 sets of clocks, but not splitting(3x Smiths). I will be putting the best set, probably the 120mph one, into my car then the rest will be incorporated into dash boards I am planning to make and sold on ebay to the highest bidders.
