if i was to get this fuel gauge, how do they wire up?
i want to add this to my dash, and it would be nice to have it working.

can i do it? and how easy.

of course i can do it, but can i just both fuel doals, as i have the one in my centra clock too.

i can just tap into the wires and do both,

Is that a Smiths or Jaeger gauge? Who is the manufacturer?

If it's Smiths...
Smiths gauges do not have an internal 10v voltage source. For Smiths gauges you'll need to find the 10v supply from your voltage stabilizer and feed the gauge's input with that. The other terminal on the gauge will go to the (probably) green/black wire to your fuel sending unit. The gauge has to be designed/built to match your sending unit. Late Mini sending units typically operate in the range of 240 Ohms (empty) to about 30 Ohms (full). The chassis of the Smiths gauge needs to be connected to chassis ground and the lamp wire on the gauge needs to be connected to the dash light wiring (probably red/white).

If it's an aftermarket gauge...
Most of them have an internal 10v regulator. You supply the input terminal of the gauge with a switched 12v supply and connect the sensor input to the green/black wire to your fuel sending unit. As above, the gauge has to have been built to work with the range of your sending unit. Also as above the case of the gauge should be connected to chassis ground and the lamp wire connected to your dash lamp wiring.

"but can i just both fuel doals?" If you mean, can I use both gauges, the answer is "no". You must choose one or the other and connect only one to the sending unit.
