Can anyone stick up any detailed pictures of the Rover Mini Limo that was made in 97 at the same time as the Hot Rod and original Jack Knight? Interior pictures please. I'm after recreating a copy of the dash and center console if it's not too complex.
Just for my own car though, not producing them!

My god that's a long time ago, feels like yesterday. I'm so old!

If you could get in touch with minijohn, I'm sure he could help you out, since he's built a number of limos, so chances are he knows something about the Rover limos too..

Problem is I don't have his email right now. You could try find him on ebay (sells things like poly bushes, wipers, handle sets...) and email him through there.

I know its not much help, but at least it's something...

This one was built by John Cooper Garages, it's not stretched or anything it's just luxurious. I'll try Minijohn though, cheers.

Jack knight built it for Rover, there's a whole page about it on their website.

Jack Knight Link

1275 twinpoint block with Jack Knight 16 valve cylinder head running Weber Alpha fuel injection through a straight cut 5 (possibly 6, can't remember) speed box, Jack Knight lsd and equalised driveshaft kit producing 150bhp at the road wheels.

BRM green bodywork with orange stripes, full safety devices roll cage, alloy panelled interior made by Jack Knight.

Made for a private customer in Germany so LHD.

This was made for a customer, because it used to say in the back of the Mini brochure in the wee small print something along the lines of:

This brochure represents the standard specification of the Mini car range, other specification vehicles may be available by request. Consult your local dealer or call ...... blah blah blah.

And in 1997 someone took them seriously!

Aarrghh, someone's nicked Jack Knight's website!

It worked yesterday, but now it's not there.

I definitely put the right address in that link.

Mind you they have been promising a new website for ages so maybe it's now on its way.

:saywhat:

(Mutters to himself under his breath, "Can't any of these chimps read!")

:saywhat:

Ahem!

Well, thankyou all for your offers of help but if you kindly read the first post in the thread you will find out what I'm after.

Oh, and STOP PUTTING UP RANDOM PICTURES OF MINI LIMOS!

I have been searching for good photos of the Rover Limo for some time, believe me I have seen a lot of sites about Mini Limo's while searching including all of the above and many more besides.

(Except the bizarre Scrapheap Challenge thing, but I don't think that even counts as a car!)

I went to the '97 motorshow to try and see this car, but on the day I went they had pulled it off the stand and stuck the Hot Rod up there instead so I got to climb all over that, but still havn't seen the Limo!

Thankyou for your time.
