A code reader would have shown you the Lambda sensor was not working correctly. So much for a new sensor, didnt think maniflow supplied these also??
Glad you got it fixed though, and so much for failing emissions because the sensor is not in the collector, LMFAO, now you know when people are talking out their arse.

Handbrake - has to hold the car on three clicks, common mini problem probably the rear brackets have siezed and only one side of the car is holding properly, you need to check the brakes for this.
Common mistake, The handbrake does not have to be on three clicks, it can be on 7. Depends on how fine the ratchet is on the handbrake. It will fail for "excessice" travel of the lever. This is up to the tester as to how excessive they will allow it to be,
What does make the hand brake fail is if one is only providing half the braking force of the other as it shows up as an imbalance, same can happen with the normal brakes but you tend to spot this as you will pull to on side.
As for saying the handbrake works, one side could be doing all the work. Probably either a seized handbrake arm on one side or the pivot point think that the handbrake cable runs thru under the car is seized.
Hope this helps
