that is just silly IMO you will neva get all the power down smoothly

I think you have somewhat missed the point, it is a race car, its not supposed to be "smooth", show me a mini that is, if I want smooth I'll drive my Audi A4 up the drag strip.

The point is to get to a 1/4 of a mile as quickly as possible, e.g. 117mph in 12.79 sec.

You've got to appreciate the engineering! The engine build and the effort put into such a car. What an achievement, looking forward to sub 12.5's Tom.
