is it going to be mid-engined, or front-engined, and FWD, or RWD?

Also, what sort of drive are you going for? Chain, or propshaft?

it is going to be front engine, front wheel drive and chain driven, just wanted to know what methods are used to actually mount the diff to a frame so engine layout doesnt really matter. Pillow blocks look to be the best bet!

i come across loads of picture the other day but cant find them again

sorry to hi jack the thread but have you got anymore pics / info on the chain drive thats in the pic?? Looks a good design thats using the original mini shafts but there doesnt seem to be a dif as such just direct chain drive with only gearing adjustment depending on the sprockets used or is it in the unit to the right of the sprocket?????

cheers

dave

I am looking to mount an R1 engine into the back of my Cox gtm.
I will be mounting it to the subframe like this.
Posted Image
I want to know how to connect the chain to the shafts so that they drive the wheels in the right direction.
Any pics, diagrams or advice would be great.

There is a chain driven box behind the engine containing two gears and the diff, this corrects the direction of drive

Cheers
