Just thought I'd say hi.
I will be returning to mini ownership very soon.
(if all goes well - don't want to say to much just incase I jinx myself)
My first car was a 1980 Yellow mini 1000, after that got smashed up by a old dear in a cortina
I got a 1981 Blue mini 850 - that died and went off to mini heaven.
Ever since I have had modern cars - but they lack the character that the mini's had.
I am off to look at a 1979 1275 Gt tomorrow.
The guys sounds like he knows his stuff and is a mini enthusiast (sp)
So any thing specific I should look out for on the 1275 gt or just the usual mini traits
Thanks
McShug

Nice car shame about the price.
The car needed a little exterior work on it, it also needed a new interior, a front grill, and new headlining to name a few bits but it had no tax or mot and had been dry stored for the past two years. Had a respray before storage which I think wasn't the best.
Advertised at £1125, I think they wanted £1000 - offered £800 max -was told no - so I walked away.
We are not in a rush to get one and are more than willing to wait for the right one
