you will find that you have to make speaker pods that fit onto the door as im pretty certain that the mini doors are not thick enough, if you make your own pods out of either MDF or that plastic stuff, but doing this way u could have woteva size you wanted really!

I decided not to hack my doorcards around and fitted some custom consoles pods - they look fantastic n with sone sony xplod speakers in there, they don't sound half bad either.

Get us a pic up Sarah  I am going to put 6X9s in a panel under the back seat base but i think i will need some sound fill in around the door area , so if anyone finds any nice door pods post them up here

Got a set in my Golf and there very high quality, but I’ve never seen the mini ones myself. They take a 13cm speaker

i made some bords for under the rear seat, not the best sound quality, takes out all trebble, but im going to put some 10cm behind my dash and have the air vents covering sdo u dont no they r there!

and the rear speakers are 6x9's

not the best spoeakers to have for a quality system but u cant really hear much in a mini anyway

yup. not really worth making a top notch sound system in a mini, theyre just too loud. im gonna get a 6x9 speaker board for under the rear seats, put my 17cm infinitys in the front, probably hook up a couple of tweeters too.

Made up an mdf board for 2 6x9s to fit sloping down across where the back seats used to be. looks quite cool, just got to fit it in now.

one down side of having door pods is that they will caramp your leg room...so why not mound pods under the dash this will help your sound staging in the car ie the sound will be more centre rather than far left and far right!

why oh why do people buy 6x9's when they have a sub because the only reason they are made 9 inch long is for bass. the stretched out shape decreases sound quality aswel. any ice advice you need goto the Talk Audio website and they'll sort ya out
