Audio scape Mini door pods are very pretty, but expensive (I think they're about £170). Mini Trailers make some that look like the OE door bins. Metro Vanden Plas and GTE door bins had speaker pods in, but were quite ugly.
If you want to put some under the dash, try Custom Consoles dash pods. They are a bit big though.

Just remembered, try to find a picture of the Cabrio. The Rover one not the Lamm conversion. It had panels fitted to the wheel arches to take speakers and some switches. It was part of the shell strengthening. Don't know if you will be able to get the OE part anywhere, but some of the convertable kit manufacturers may make a similar panel.

Just checked my girlfriends car. Rover 100 (k-series metro) door bins have 13cm speakers and will cost peanuts from a breakers yard.
