that is a very nice piece of engineering :- did you ever consider the Z-Cars front subframe

rear looks nice was the rear suspension made or bought from another vehicle?


I did mine before the Z cars one, I must admit the Z cars one is nice but not as light as mine !

The rear was origanally brought from Carl Titanium Austin and then heavily moded (New beam, discs, billet hubs, rod ends and calipers)

Ti doesn't rust!!

Very nice job by the way, the weight is about the same as my z cars R1

In a serios note I'd say that if you wanted to do something like this to look at fitting a cage below the waistline of a similar style to what the Miglias run ie cross bracing, tied in subframe mounts and lots of gusseting.

Yes, the green one had side impact bars, and all the sills has been strengthened as well as having a second cross member.

I would weld up the doors too, so it would be like a solid tub, and then weld an old roof on the back to strengthen that up too, I am under no false impressions, I am aware its going to be a lot of work.
